generationOn is looking for young people
between the ages of 13-18 who are interested in partnering with other
youth from around the country who are passionate about making a
difference. Council members will be required to demonstrate a strong
commitment to volunteerism, philanthropy and generationOn’s mission,
which is “to inspire, equip, and mobilize youth to take action that
changes the world and themselves through service.” Members will also be
encouraged to represent generationOn at conferences and special events.
Students interested in applying should be enrolled in middle or high school (6th – 11th
grade), live in the United States and be available to travel March
18-22 (all expenses paid). Community, youth, and faith-based
organizations and educators are invited to encourage youth who are
interested in applying to fill out an online application which can be
found at www.generationon.org/global/ big-happenings/youth-advisory- council. The 2011 Youth Advisory Council members will be announced in late February, 2011.
